Honeybees

Red Barn Ranch Fortville completes hive inspections weekly in the spring and summer, every two weeks in the fall and when weather allows in the winter. The temperature has to be above 50 degrees . The honeybees are hard at work raising baby bees and making honey.

Honeybees were new to Red Barn Ranch Fortville in spring of 2023. We decided to add honeybees to our ranch in spring of 2022 but there was much to learn before the bees arrived in spring of 2023.
